Playcentre ready for take-off!
FOB in association with SPI have been appointed to design a new purpose built, 25,000ft2 play and children’s centre in west London.
The three-level futuristic design will feature a creche and nursery through to teenager activities and themed party rooms. The facility will also include an outdoor, multi-purpose, all-weather AstroTurf area and play park set in secure, enclosed landscaped grounds.
The centre jointly designed with one of the worlds biggest and best providers of play equipment, will house the latest climbing and play zones available and set new standards in this growing leisure sector. There will also be plenty of space for mums and dads to meet and relax whilst keeping a watchful eye on the play activities.
In keeping with FOB Design Philosophy, the building will be designed to be low-energy, highly sustainable and feature renewable energy technologies in an envelope that will integrate into its environment.
The centre is due to be opened in 2012.
